Manually configure GPRS settings for all Indian Mobile Networks

To be able to use internet every phone needs to be configured with correct GPRS settings. Some networks automatically get configured according to your device. But for some older devices you need to configure them manually. So, in order to make it easy for you I have provided  the list of GPRS settings for different networks.

Getting GPRS settings in one package file through SMS

The best way to get your device configured with correct GPRS settings is to get all the settings delivered to your inbox in a single package from network operator. To do this you need to send message to network operator to message the settings. As soon as you click on received message you will get an option to install settings. Below I have mentioned message format and numbers to which the message should be sent for different networks.

Airtel                         - compose message type MO and send it to 543210

Vodafone                  - compose message type VL and send it to 52586

BSNL                          - compose message type GPRS and send it to 53733

Docomo                    - compose message type INTERNET and send it to 52270

Aircel                        - compose message type PI and send it to 121

Reliance (GSM)    - compose message type ALL and send it to 55100

Uninor                       - compose message type ALL and send it to 58355

Idea                           - compose message type SET and send it to 54671

Using the above settings you can get your device automatically by installing the settings received in your Inbox.

Manual GPRS settings for Indian Mobile Networks

If you are not able to configure your device by using the SMS method given above you can set them manually. As the settings needs to be configured in your device manually, navigate to phone settings and then find internet or cellular settings option and then click on add manually and now enter the settings as given below.

How to fix Bluestacks Graphics card error (Error-25000)

Bluestacks is a software that enables android applications to run on Windows and Macintosh computers. Many people are getting graphics card error while installing Bluestacks. In this post i am going to show you how to fix Bluestacks Graphics card error 25000.

"Bluestacks currently doesn't recognize your graphic card. It is possible your graphics drivers may need to be updated. Please update them and try installing again."

Reasons for Bluestacks error

1. The latest version of  Bluestacks requires high RAM and Graphics Card memory to run Android applications on Windows PC. So  if you have not updated your Graphics card drivers or if you have older computer you may get a Bluestacks Graphics card error.

2. You should have a minimum RAM of 2 GB and Graphics Card of minimum 512 MB to run latest version of Bluestacks. If you don't have minimum RAM and Graphics card memory, You can run Android applications by installing older version of Bluestacks the link for which is provided below.

3. If you are facing graphics card error while installing it on your computer like the one shown below, then follow next step to fix it.

Fix Bluestacks Graphic Card error

Below i have mentioned two methods on how to fix graphic card error while installing Bluestacks. If you cannot fix your problem by following method 1 or if you have an old computer, install older version of Bluestacks given in method 2.

1.Update Graphics card drivers

1. As the error itself says Graphics card drivers may need to be updated. Try updating Graphics card drivers if you are having old Graphics card drivers installed on your PC.

2. Below I have given links to update Graphic card drivers for different Brands. Now go to the link of Graphics card brand you have on your PC and update it.

3. After updating the Graphics card drivers you will be able to install Bluestacks without any error.

2. Fix problem by installing the older version of Bluestacks

1. Most of the time even after updating the Graphic card drivers, the problem won't get fixed. If your problem is not fixed by following method 1, you can fix it by installing older version of Bluestacks. Older version of Bluestacks does not require Higher Graphic card memory like newer version, So you will be able to install it without facing any errors.

How to disable or block use of USB flash drives to avoid copying in windows

In this post we will be looking at how to block or disable use of USB data storage devices so that no data on your computer gets copied. Once you disable write access to USB ports, any external USB device connected to computer appears as Read only. Here Read only means you will be able to connect and use USB devices like Keyboard, USB mouse, USB joysticks but will not be able to copy data from your computer to external USB storage devices like pen-drives, memory cards and external hard disks. You can disable write access to USB ports either by tweaking Windows Registry which does not require any software or by using any third party Software. The effective way to do this is to Tweak Windows Registry settings as it does not require any software. Below I provided step by step procedure on how to tweak windows registry settings to disable write access to USB ports and also how to block USB ports using a third party software.

Disable or Block use of USB flash drives to avoid copying in windows

1. Tweak Windows Registry Settings to disable Write access to USB ports

1. First open run dialog box by pressing windows + R key together, then type regedit in that and click on OK. It will open registry editor.

2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then exapand SYSTEM from the list, then from following list expand current control set, then go to services.

3. After expanding services, select USB STOR in follow down list and double click on start in right column.

4. Now replace the value 3 in box with 4

     (4 to disable USB ports)

     (3 to enable USB ports)

5. Now click on OK and close the Registry Editor. The write access to USB port is now disabled.

2. Using third party software to disable write access to USB ports

The software also simulates the process described above. The software called USB Disabler pro disables the write access to USB ports. Only the system administrator can manage the software to disable or enable USB drives. The admin has a option to allow particular flash drive to work.

How to unlock Android smart phone and tablet if you don't remember lock pattern or password

Android smart phone lock issue appears when you don't remember the password or unlock pattern. Some people also get their Phones locked by entering the wrong password repeatedly. Don't worry if you don't remember the lock pattern or password or any gmail account associated with your smart phone, I am here with a tip in which i will show you how to Unlock your Android smart phone without any password and in very easy steps.

Steps to unlock the Android Smart Phone:

 1. In order to unlock your Locked Android Smartphone, you should  have USB debugging mode enabled on it. If USB debugging mode is not enabled you cannot unlock your phone without losing data, you can only factory reset it which erases complete data and restores it to factory settings. To Reboot the phone to recovery mode and factory reset it follow the method given in step 5.

(The USB debugging mode can be enabled by going to Settings->Development->USB debugging and 

check the tick mark. In some phones the USB debugging mode is located in Settings->Application->Development->USB debugging)

Don't follow steps 2,3,4 if USB debugging mode is not enabled on your phone (It is only possible to unlock phone without losing data if USB debugging mode is enabled)

2. If USB debugging mode is enabled on your phone, Connect it to computer using data cable.

3. After connecting the smart phone to computer open command prompt. To open command prompt open run dialog box by pressing WIN+R key and type CMD in text box and click on OK.

4. Type following code in the command prompt.

adb shell

rm /data/system/gesture.key

After giving the commands in command prompt, reboot your device by pressing home button + power button + volume up buttons together. For some phones it is power button+volume up button.  

5. To enter into recovery mode and reboot or factory reset your device press home button+power button+volume up buttons of your phone together. For some phones it is power button+volume up button.
